“Fuoriserie” is a journey, an investigation into the unusual talents that sprout – with the autonomous and undisciplined force of the weeds – and who live, in communicating areas and floors, in the middle lands between “the inside and the outside”, or on the margins, of the world of official art or total institutions. A constellation of authors, sometimes unsuspected, who express themselves – in the spaces of fragility or transgression – by designing original worlds.
The aim of the exhibition and of the volume, full of significant and authoritative contributions, is to make known the complexity and richness of the imaginary, special and off-series, which can be discovered in the border areas between the world of official art and those inhabited by a independent art, irreducible and difficult to define. In this exchange, territories that are pulsating with energy and rich in traffic of meaning are created. Areas further moved by the recent changes in the perspective of contemporary criticism and by the comings and goings of the protagonists themselves.
