“I love everything that has warmth and energy, shapes and lines that play with the flavors and scents of life. I like the beauty that communicates and transmits, to be discovered among simple things, in the magic of everyday life and behind the scenes of I like to observe even the smallest details because I almost always imagine for still lifes. I love images for their communicative and immediate nature, because they convey ideas and sensations, they are a synthesis of shapes, textures, flavors and aromas. shots I want to return the nature of a place, the suggestions of dishes and good food. I try to evoke the taste, the fragrances and the pleasure they contain. Each dish is an emotion for me in which a story to tell lives. in my visual workshop to eat with your eyes and experiment with some recipes I welcome you to my colorful and genuine dishes.
I love everything related to food: raw materials, aromatic herbs, spices and the light that illuminates the house on sunny days. I love fabrics, cutlery and tablecloths, plates and cups that I collect in ever new shapes and colors. I like the laid tables, the conviviality, the intimacy and warmth that circulate in the kitchen. I love taking care of the smallest details because I believe that harmony is the most pleasant ingredient to be enjoyed with the mouth and with the heart.
Welcome to my little world made of simple and retro things, worn and lived, but for this reason precious. My journey through food, cuisine and images starts from the home countryside, from my grandfather’s garden and from the genuine scents that are breathed in nature. I have always loved to use my eyes, hands and heart to discover and observe with curiosity, to give life to ideas and visions with harmony, but above all to feel and give emotions. The art of preservation, which accompanies my family, has allowed me to collect objects from the past that I treasure with care and that often become the protagonists of my shots. The creative industriousness absorbed by my parents, who have experienced many activities in their life, from the restoration of furniture, to the production of leather bags, to photography, led me to make inventiveness a natural way of expression. And so also the sartorial flair of grandmother Rosanna, mondina and excellent cook (her stuffed zucchini flowers are exquisite and her artichokes in the pan are exquisite) and the wisdom of grandfather Walter, electrician and carpenter, have stimulated my imagination and given shape to my visual baggage. “(from the introduction by Alessandra Zarlottin)
