Description

Together Elena Franco and Cristian Ciamporcero have conceived their exhibition Double “portrait”, art as a cure, where the word “cure” stands for all its meanings (concern, loving kindness, therapy, remedy, governance, watchfulness and many more) and for all the operations and manipulations used to make such actions and emotions take place.
Through their works, both artists offer their (real and imaginary) thoughts and visions as a spur to look OURSELVES AND NOW – in ourselves, in other people and in possible future perspectives – for that well-being related to the whole human community and the whole planet (that hosts us) as considered in its constituent wholeness. They offer a vision of deliverance from suffering and from a certain kind of “evil” that human beings undergo or inflict, possibly a utopian vision, yet one that should never be overlooked.
