Description
The volume documents the widespread exhibition of Enzo Obiso in Pavarolo (Turin) which took place in 2022. The exhibition set up in the Studio and in the Casa Museo of Felice Casorati, as well as other spaces within the town.
“Images always full of references, stories, personal memories and places, whether it be Cuba, Gubbio or a snowy landscape placed on a screen, which recalls ancient Japanese culture. But also Italian landscapes, sometimes nocturnal, captured in their structural simplicity. Obiso’s photography is devoid of tricks, of any sensationalism. His images require time for listening, for thoughtful observation,” writes Angela Madesani. Thus a poetic continuity is created, which winds along the entire itinerary of the exhibition, the most significant and interesting feature of which lies in the lack of a precise choice between the landscape option and the human one. An itinerary that leads the viewer to look at reality, at all of reality, and at all the multifaceted and infinite forms of its appearance, in a direct and spontaneous way, with the sole purpose of deepening the dialectical relationship that binds man and his inner world, to history and nature and the human side of things.
