V – as in geese… consists of reproductions of 48 ink drawings, some with captions, made by David Ruff, a graphic artist and painter born in the Bronx, when at the end of the seventies he lived with his wife and daughter in an isolated farmhouse in Piedmont.
Simple but wise and subversive, the original drawings – one per page – are part of one of the albums that were in the artist’s atelier when he died in 2007. In this volume they are published in the original order and in a format in which it is The proportion between drawing and page has been strictly respected.
