Description
The monograph, created by the Casa Museo Antonio Carena, is the result of careful research and editorial work of great commitment.
The volume offers an overview of Antonio Carena’s artistic production, in a time span from 1946 to 2009, allowing us to grasp the evolution and depth of his artistic language over the years. From his early academic years at the school of Enrico Paulucci to his meeting with the famous critic Michel Tapiè, which marked a significant turning point in his career, the monograph traces Carena’s creative path through works that range in different styles and techniques. Among the works present, the famous skies stand out, as well as the innovative use of a Fiat 500 as a walking canvas, testifying to Carena’s ability to merge art and daily life into a single creative vision, anticipating artistic currents such as Pop Art and Nouveau Realism. A section of the monograph is dedicated to mural works, which anticipate Public Art and Street-Art and to the 1971 happenings with the white signs, events which indelibly marked the artistic panorama of their time and which continue to inspire and fascinate the I still publish today. Furthermore, the volume offers articles dedicated to the Antonio Carena House Museum in Rivoli and to the artist’s collaborations with companies and institutions in Italy and abroad.
