BREDA HELGA

Helga Breda is an Italian Design lover and scholar, she graduated from the Liceo Scenografico Teatrale (High School for Stage Design and Theater) in Turin, where she began her career as an actress. She continued her studies at the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin, earning a degree in Set Design with an experimental thesis on the history and design of two window displays for the Hermès store in Milan. In 2021, she graduated with honors (summa cum laude) in Artistic Design for Enterprise from the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin, presenting a thesis on sustainable architectural design that included a redevelopment project for a farmhouse. Her career as a graphic designer began successfully with the creation of the brochure and exhibition layout for the “Summer Exhibition 2021” at the Albertina Academy’s Rotunda, as well as the brochure for the “Disegnare la città” (Drawing the City) exhibition at the Pinacoteca Albertina. In October of that same year, she became a Project Manager for a company designing headlights and lighting systems for luxury cars. In 2022, she created set designs for a Turin-based theater company and subsequently began her teaching career at the I.I.S. Giulio Natta Institute in Rivoli, teaching Multimedia Communication Techniques and Technologies. She also served as a subject matter expert (Cultrice della materia) for Editorial and Graphic Design at the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin (working with Professor Romeo Traversa) and taught in the Graphics and Communication Departments at the I.I.S. Erasmo da Rotterdam Institute and the I.I.S. Olivetti Institute. In 2023, she published the book “Design tra spazio e forma” (Design Between Space and Form), which was included in the Getty Library Catalog. In 2026 she has been an adjunct professor at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan.
