Description
The monograph presents the women, real and imaginary, important in the life and work of Tono Zancanaro. Each female reference is accompanied by a description and a photographic corpus of works by the Paduan master.
Women are not only ethereal figures to be admired for the beauty of their forms, for Tono Zancanaro they are first of all human beings, who are fulfilled through work, and for this reason an important part of his works is dedicated to female work: from workers to peasant women, from intellectuals to mondariso. Some of Tono’s most significant works in both painting and ceramics are dedicated to the hard work of the weeders.
