Description
The volume collects a selection of writings born from a circumstance of the moment but with the intention of surviving and testifying the attention of collectors to the economic aspects of art.
The topics covered are the monitoring of the international market, trends, emerging artists, the potential return of the works from a financial perspective, selecting the works and also taking into account the possible economic investment which also depends on the gallery of origin. of the work, from the visibility of the artist at an institutional and museum level, and from his presence in important international collections.
Alongside issues such as costs and spending budgets with which younger collectors have to work, we find crowdfunding, where the social and participatory aspect is at least as important as the financial one. The opening of exhibition spaces with private or institutional horizons, the specificity of the individual collections, are activities connected with the administration of one’s own collection and the generational passage of the heritages of art.
