MAURO VILLONE
Mauro Vishva Villone lived and worked in Rio de Janeiro, Turin and around the world.
Photographer, journalist, writer and organizer of cultural events and projects. He studied Earth Sciences at the MFN Faculty of Science in Turin. Since 1974 he has been involved in photography, ethnology, visual anthropology, social and communication sciences. Together with Lidia Urani, she directed the NGO Para Ti in Rio de Janeiro, which is committed to supporting children in the favelas and their families. He was the creator and organizer of the Unaltrosguardo project, born with the creation of a book of photographs made by children of the favelas between 6 and 12 years of age. Creator and curator of the Turin Photo Festival since 2008. He has written in La Stampa and Il Fatto Quotidiano. He has published his works in numerous exhibitions and national newspapers. He has exhibited his works in Italy, Brazil, Russia and China.
