RAGAGNIN LUCA

He began writing short stories and poems in the early 1980s and began publishing in magazines in the early 1990s. In 1992, his play Eclisse del corpo was performed in Turin and Bologna at the Leo de Berardinis Theatre. Since 1994, he has collaborated as a lyricist with musicians of various backgrounds. In 1995, he won the Montale Prize for poetry with an unpublished anthology, read in the same year by Vittorio Gassman in the television series Cammin leggere and published the following year by the publisher Scheiwiller.

In 1996, he was invited to the International Poetry Festival in Bar, Montenegro, and an anthology of his poems was translated into Serbo-Croatian. He collaborates with newspapers and magazines of various kinds and, from 1998 to 2003, he had a regular column in Duel, a monthly magazine of cinema and image culture.

In 2007, together with Enrico Remmert, he adapted the book Elogio della sbronza consapevolezza for the theatre. The show was taken on tour in Italy and France by Assemblea Teatro. In 2009, again with Enrico Remmert, he wrote 2984, a play inspired by 1984 by George Orwell. The show debuted at the Festival della scienza in Genoa, directed by Emanuele Conte and produced by the company Teatro della Tosse.

In 2011 he collaborated on the writing of Operetta in nero, a play written and set to music by Andrea Liberovici and wrote, with Michele Di Mauro, Alla fine di un nuovo giorno, a show commissioned by Torino Spiritualità and staged by Di Mauro himself and the Mexican composer Murcof. In 2012 he wrote for Lella Costa Elsa Shocking, a monologue based on Elsa Schiaparelli’s autobiography Shocking life, which was performed at the Teatro Carignano in Turin. In 2014 he wrote the show The wedding singers for Angela Baraldi, which debuted at the Teatro della Tosse in Genoa, directed by Emanuele Conte[1].

He is the author of novels (Marmo rosso, Arcano 21, Agenzia Pertica[2], Pontescuro[3], Il bambino intermittente[4]), short stories (among others, Pulci, Un amore supremo), theatrical texts (Misfatti unici, Cinque sigilli) and poems (among others, the collections Biopsie, La balbuzie degli oracoli and Un solco senza seme), translated in France, Montenegro, Poland, Portugal, Romania and Switzerland.

As a lyricist he has written song lyrics, among others, for Antonello Venditti, Delta V, Garbo, Gigi Restagno, Lucia Minetti, Mao, Mina, Serena Abrami, Subsonica and Totò Zingaro.
