Description
“Three actions guided this project, which was born from a love for the harmonious and joyful aspects of life—things that, ideally, fit inside a suitcase. In mine, I have gathered the atmospheres and details of full, intense, and unexpected days that accompanied my travels around the world, as well as my everyday life.
And so, in this book, I sought to capture emotions and visions filled with light and color that reflect how I perceive reality. I have constructed a visual vocabulary of expressive notes to suggest a space where simple things rest within a setting that is both magical and evocative. To me, the world is a welcoming and hospitable realm—an inexhaustible source of beauty and a tangible place where my gaze can roam freely. It is a laboratory for experimentation—a rich universe from which to draw clear, authentic images that speak of a slow, suspended, and soothing pace. I often find harmony in everyday objects illuminated by delicate, precious sensations.
I have gathered shots where the presence of people is merely hinted at—where one senses their passing or their moments of waiting. People are within the objects; they are part of the things themselves.
I wanted to surround myself with beauty and capture it in its naturalness and spontaneity—imperfections and all, for they reflect its uniqueness. I have included a few recipes among the pages, as a love for food and cooking is a constant in my daily life—even when I am traveling, tasting, and experimenting with new flavors.” (from the introduction by Alessandra Zarlottin)
