Description
This volume documents the exhibition “Connessioni. Progetto fotografico In Rete” (Connections: The ‘In Rete’ Photographic Project) by Alessandro Genitori — curated by Roberto Mastroianni — which was hosted at the Diocesan Museum of Caltagirone (CT).
How truly free are we from the bonds that run through our lives? Alessandro Genitori’s photographs attempt to answer this question. They present a collective narrative of fragility, relationships, and desires that nonetheless never loses sight of each individual’s uniqueness. We are immersed in social, familial, and emotional networks that sometimes sustain us and at other times hold us back. Alessandro Genitori set out to tell the story of how ordinary people—with diverse lives and experiences—behave when placed beneath an actual net. The result is a collective narrative of fragility, relationships, and desires that remains attentive to the uniqueness of every person.
