LAURA VALLE

Laura Valle was born in Turin where she lives and works.
During her formative years she was a student of Elena Monaco for drawing and art history.
In 1987 she graduated in painting at the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin where she had as teachers, among others, Giacomo Soffiantino, Giulio Paolini, Gino Gorza and Giuseppe Mantovani.
He also studied mosaic techniques at the International Study Center of Ravenna and wall painting with Sergio Tamassia in Sorano.
He participated, at the Holden School of Turin in Holden Camp – Summer School of Narration.
In the Academies of Carrara, Sassari and Venice he taught painting and in the latter analysis of graphic language at the graduate school for teachers (Cobaslid).
He is currently a teacher of painting, methods and techniques of contemporary sacred painting, a member of the Academic Council and of the Coordination of activities and events at the Albertina Academy.
Author of critical texts for catalogs and artistic events, she has participated with visual works in shows and exhibitions in Italy and abroad.
In 2010 he published at the Colonnetti Foundation the book “Nella Casa di Cavour” presented at the Turin International Show from which a short film was screened in 2011 at the OGR as part of the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy.
His artistic work combines different languages ​​- mainly video, painting, sound – within space-time paths that recover, through writing, the narrative dimension.
In addition to painting, he has always loved writing and investigating the relationships between writing and painting itself, expressive means that he considers inseparable in his work.
