CHIEZZI PINO

Born in Moretta (CN) in 1943, he lives and works in Turin. He graduated in Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Turin, taught in secondary schools, and worked professionally on projects and project management in various sectors of civil engineering. From 1970 to 2005, he held elected positions at the Municipality of Gassino Turin as Deputy Mayor, at the Municipality of Turin as Councilor, and at the Piedmont Region as Regional Councilor and President of the Culture Commission. In 2005, he enrolled at the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin and began his artistic research, primarily in the fields of painting and printmaking.
He has participated in group and solo exhibitions, including
“At the Roots of Democracy. Testimonianze d’arte 1 and 2” (2009 and 2010) organized by the Piedmont Regional Council, and the 6th and 7th Felice Casorati International Painting Biennial (2008 and 2010), receiving a special mention from the jury. In 2011, he participated in the exhibition “Arte & Shoah” at the Museo Diffuso della Resistenza in Turin, curated by the Camis De Fonseca Foundation and the Gaetano Salvemini Institute of Historical Studies, with the work “Terezin Beautification.” His 2010 work “00000. Auschwitz-Birkenau” is part of the collection of the Piedmont Regional Council.
