FRANCESCO POLI
Teacher of History of Contemporary Art at the Brera Academy in Milan, he is Chargé de Cours at the Université Paris 8. He has written essays, articles for newspapers, magazines and catalogs, on the major artists of the twentieth century. He has curated numerous exhibitions in public and private spaces, the latest being the Carrara International Sculpture Biennial. Among the published volumes: Artistic production and market (Einaudi, 1975); The Metaphysics (Laterza, 1989); Dictionary of contemporary art with M.Corgnati (Feltrinelli, 1994); Minimalism, Arte Povera, Conceptual Art (Laterza, 1995); The contemporary art system (Laterza, 1999); he curated for Electa Contemporary Art (2003) and Modern Art (2007); The sculpture of the twentieth century (Laterza, 2006); Contemporary art (Mondadori, 2007); The Fifties – Contemporary Art (Electa-L’Espresso, 2008).
