OCTAVIO FLOREAL
Octavio Floreal was born in the Canary Islands, a port of cultural exchange between three continents that has influenced his vision of the world; He graduated in the specialty of painting from the University of La Laguna, Selected by the Erasmus Project at the Higher School of Fine Arts in Antwerp, the city where he will reside for eleven years. Versatile and multifaceted artist, his work covers a wide spectrum of artistic products that he structures in four blocks or columns that evolve over time, skipping the trite labels used in art. Through these pillars, Floreal explores the essence of the human being and his collective and individual artistic need.
Among his exhibitions: His first solo exhibition NW: 7º25º- 15º 13º, Galleria Mirca, Kapellen, Belgium (1994) his first solo show in Spain in the Literary Cabinet, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (1995) in 2005 his first solo show in Italy 2005, the country where he currently resides, IL NUOVO MONDO, Galleria L’Union, Rome. DRAW MUSIC DRAW, Booze Cooperativa, Athens (2008); AMBIENTI ARTE Tuscia Opera Festival, Viterbo (2009); HIWAAR-DIALOOG Centrum De Wijk, Antwerp (2009); MUSICAL CHRONOTOPIC VARIATIONS THE NEW WORLD, Conservatorio Santa Cecilia, Rome (2010) THE NEW WORLD AND PALAZZO CERIANA, Circolo de la Stampa, Turin (2014), y INTENDED USE in the Castello of Rivara, and INVESTIGATION in the La Estampa gallery, Madrid (2020).
