{"id":2994,"count":3,"description":"Elena Re is an art critic and independent curator. She explores Italian art through cultural projects, exhibitions and publications. Her research ranges from conceptual photography to radical architecture and the notion of the multiple. On the latter theme, she presented the exhibition \u201cArte Povera and \u2018Multipli\u2019, Torino 1970\u20131975\u201d at Spr\u00fcth Magers gallery (Berlin, 2014) and at the Fondazione ICA (Milan, 2019\u201320). She is the scientific director of the Archivio Giorgio Ciam; she follows the careers of numerous artists, and has contributed to the international recognition of Luigi Ghirri\u2019s work. Her books include \u201cLuigi Ghirri \u2013 Project Prints. An Adventure in Thinking and Looking\u201d (JRP|Ringier, Z\u00fcrich 2012), published on the occasion of the exhibition at Castello di Rivoli Museo d\u2019Arte Contemporanea. She co-curated the exhibition \u201cTutto. Perspectives on Italian Art\u201d at Museion (Bolzano, 2018\u201319) and at Sammlung Goetz (Munich, 2019\u201320) with a catalogue published by Hatje Cantz. She curated the exhibition \u201cGilardi: Tappeto-Natura\u201d at Magazzino Italian Art (Cold Spring, NY, 2022\u201323) with a catalogue published by the Magazzino Italian Art Foundation. She presented the exhibition \u201c150 Years of Homage to Ingenuity. Mario Cresci for Jacobacci & Partners\u201d at the Reggia di Venaria (Venaria Reale, Turin, 2022\u201323). Concerning her latest projects in the public field, in 2025 she curated the exhibition \u201cCarol Rama \u2013 Unique Multiples\u201d at MAMbo \u2013 Museo d\u2019Arte Moderna di Bologna, and presented \u201cGiorgio Ciam \u2013 Essere un altro\u201d at the Reggia di Venaria, as part of Exposed Torino Foto Festival.
