He has studied the metaphor of travel (\u201cThe Journey of the Philosophers\u201d, 1994) and the ethics of artistic creation (\u201cOrienting Oneself in the Metropolis. Walter Benjamin and the Task of the Artist\u201d, 2002; \u201cFrom Baudelaire to the Aesthetic Limit. Ethics and Literature in French Reflection\u201d, 2008; \u201cIn the Giving of the Page. An Ethics of Literary Writing\u201d, 2010). His latest monograph is \u201cOn Poetry as Love for the World\u201d (2023).
