It is a year-long project comprising 365 paintings—one created each day for 365 days.
The work subsequently took the form of an installation featuring 365 painted wooden panels (each measuring 7.5 x 7.5 cm), created using acrylics, oil paint, white gesso, charcoal, oil pastels, colored chalk, collage, sculpture, and AI animation. Throughout the process, the work was published in real-time on social media platforms—Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok—as well as in the Spatial metaverse.

“Jean-Paul Charles is not merely a painter but a researcher who employs vision, color, gesture, and mark-making as tools for philosophical, aesthetic, and spiritual inquiry; for this reason, his practice can be situated within the post-conceptual realm of contemporary art. The *Everyday* project represents the culmination of this research: a perfect synthesis of the eruption of physical gesture and the phenomenological transparency of the invisible.
To own or observe a work by the artist is to accept a challenge: the challenge of looking at the world once more not as a flat image on a smartphone, but as living, pulsating matter—one that remains, despite everything, full of wonder. Charles reminds us that beauty lies not in the exceptional or in forms of transcendence, but in the everyday, where reality emerges from a network of relationships, tensions, and immanent, invisible forces. His painting acts as a bridge between earth and sky, built from the dust and light of our daily lives; it is an invitation to remain human amidst the relentless flow of time, prioritizing lived duration over mechanical time, and reclaiming a perception of self and world that allows us to experience time and space as an existential musical score”.
