“Una parola e tutto cambia. Quando la comunicazione incontra il design” (One Word and Everything Changes: When Communication Meets Design) stems from a desire to reach a broad audience—spanning both industry professionals and the general public—by bringing together topics such as communication, design, art, and graphic design, and exploring their connection to accessibility. The concept of accessibility is analyzed starting from its fundamental meaning, establishing a link with the book’s core themes and reflecting the ongoing research and development within the field of “Design for All.” Communication, design, and art should be as accessible to everyone as product advertising. Typefaces serve as the tools for conveying concepts and messages, and the role of design—and visual communication more broadly—is to make them accessible to all. This volume is not merely the result of research into these relationships but also a graphic expression of the concept of accessible communication itself; it features visuals that represent this idea, and the text has been laid out using highly readable, accessible typefaces. Ilaria Bernardi – Silvia Fabro LUCIANO FABRO

Among the most important artists from the postwar period, Luciano Fabro (Turin, 1936 – Milan, 2007) is known for his in-depth and innovative research into sculpture and space, as well as for his intense theoretical thinking and commitment as a teacher. Less is known about his parallel activity on paper, which he carried out from the early 1960s to his death in 2007.
This publication aims to delve deeper into the production on paper by Fabro, presenting a critical interpretation on it accompanied by a group of works that exemplify his ways understood drawing and the links of the drawing with the other types of works by the artist.

Then comes the story of Antoine, intertwined with that of Coco Chanel and that of Alexandre de Paris, coiffeur to Grace Kelly and French Haute Couture. In Swinging London, we find Vidal Sassoon, the architect of hair, and Leslie Cavendish, the Beatles’ hairdresser; and Sam McKnight, who became famous for Lady Di’s haircut. In Barcelona, Llongueras left his mark as a 360-degree artist and friend and biographer of Dalí. And again: Aldo Coppola, the ‘master of color’, the Carita sisters, pioneers of ‘total beauty’, the Mascolo brothers and Trevor Sorbie, alongside whom many contemporary hairstylists trained.

Roberto Pissimiglia, publisher and journalist, has been a leading figure in the world of hairdressing and specialized press for fifty years. An expert in fashion, lifestyle, art, and current affairs, he has met all the great figures who have shaped the history of hairdressing.
Born into a family of hairdressers, he inherited his parents’ passion for publishing and the first periodical dedicated to beauty and hair: Estetica, which Roberto Pissimiglia spread worldwide, creating a network of 18 print and online editions. Roberto Pissimiglia is a successful entrepreneur, speaker, photography exhibition curator, and communications professional, with a large following among industry professionals in Italy and around the world.

MI CASA TU CASA

“Tu casa mi casa. La casa degli artisti” (Your Home, My Home. The Artists’ Home) is an exhibition project that recounts, through the works of nine artists, Davide Bramante’s encounter with Turin in the 1990s, when he arrived in the city to study at the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts. It features encounters with artists, art critics, gallery owners, and collectors. Among the numerous acquaintances and collaborations of those years, Bramante chose artists who were particularly important to him and with whom he shared many aspects of his private and professional life: Maura Banfo, Domenico Borrelli, Dario Colombo, Daniele Galliano, Paolo Grassino, Francesco Lauretta, Turi Rapisarda, and Alessia Zuccarello, with a tribute to Alfredo Romano. The exhibition opened in December 2025 at San Sebastiano Contemporary / Casa Bramante in Palazzolo Acreide (SR), and runs until June 30, 2026, at the Museo delle Genti d’Abruzzo in Pescara.

Ezio Gribaudo MERAVIGLIA

This art catalogue documents Ezio Gribaudo’s retrospective solo exhibition, held in the stately spaces of Villa della Regina in Turin and curated by Sara Lyla Mantica, Valeria Amalfitano, and Roberto Mastroianni in collaboration with the Gribaudo Archive, on the occasion of the sixtieth anniversary of his participation in the Venice Biennale. This exhibition, the first in a series of events that will travel to the cities of Turin, Milan, Copenhagen, Paris, and Venice, focuses on Ezio Gribaudo’s relationship with wonder, memory, fantasy, and discovery—themes explored in relation to nature, architecture, urban contexts, and real and imaginary journeys. It establishes a dialogue between some of his most iconic works and the spaces of Villa della Regina. Gribaudo’s works interact with the spaces of Villa della Regina, creating an exhibition that pays tribute to the artist’s history and poetics while also highlighting the architectural and historical-cultural heritage of the Savoy Residence.
Ezio Gribaudo was an undisputed protagonist of the history of international art in the second half of the twentieth century. Driven by a profound intellectual curiosity combined with evident technical mastery, he developed an extremely distinctive and recognizable stylistic signature and poetics, which allowed him to transcend disciplinary boundaries, mastering diverse techniques, content, and mediums in an original way. An internationally renowned artist, art publisher, and tireless cultural promoter, Gribaudo was an iconic figure in Turin, the cultural and industrial capital of a nation that, in the second half of the twentieth century, occupied a central position despite remaining peripheral to major movements and socio-historical transformations. This centrality became a biographical element and a defining characteristic of his artistic expression.

Ioannis Melanitis LEDA MELANITIS

This art catalog documents the solo exhibition of Ioannis Melanitis, one of the most important and experimental contemporary Greek artists.
Spread across two venues, the Padiglione dei Solinghi at Villa della Regina and the Library of the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin, the exhibition presents oil paintings and digital sculptures that stage a dialogue between architectural heritage, the history of philosophy, and the history of art; and transgenic butterflies that dialogue with books and ancient taxidermy.
Curated by Roberto Mastroianni, Sara Lyla Mantica, Valeria Amalfitano, and Alessandro Botta, the exhibition aims to reflect on the relationship between humanity and nature and nature and culture and the transformations brought about by digital technologies and the biotechnological revolution.

Pino Chiezzi I SEGNI DEL DISCORSO

The reason for this tribute to Beppe Fenoglio lies in the impression that reading his writings helps us live better.
The motivation is a persistent love that I try to address.
I made 100 drawings and selected 100 short excerpts from Beppe Fenoglio’s texts taken from the complete edition edited by Dante Isella, Einaudi-Gallimard in the Biblioteca della Pléiade (1992).
In dialogue with each fragment of text, but without any didactic intention, I propose a pencil drawing on paper: variations, subtractions, and digressions based on photographs I took in the Langhe at San Benedetto Belbo and archival images of Beppe Fenoglio. I search in his face, body, and places for evocative signs of his extraordinary writing.
After an initial lifelike representation, I move away with simplifications, deformations, plays on lines, shapes, and colors, attempting to capture aspects specific to that gaze and evocative of his brilliant writing ability.
For the drawings, I used the simplest supports and tools: paper, pencil, and in some cases acrylic paints.
I worked until I ran out of energy to continue.
The destination of this work didn’t affect my motivation to continue; even the possible destination of the fireplace didn’t deter me from this attempt to pay homage to Beppe Fenoglio. (From the introduction by Pino Chiezzi)

Grazia Valente AZZURRO NOTTE

As in her previous collection, “Il tempo che rimane” (The Time That Remains), the theme of time continues to run throughout the work. It is depicted in its intrinsic fragility but also implicitly linked to the art of writing, itself ephemeral and transitory. Time and silence pervade the work and lend it the allure of authenticity. The night is not blue, as the title ironically suggests, but at certain moments in life the author likes to imagine that her poetic gaze can work miracles. Grazia Valente’s poetry, despite being firmly anchored in reality, expands and transcends reality, becoming a portal to the universe. With her delicate and explosive verses, at times tender, at times sharp, the author explores the themes of suffering, love, the human condition, and death. We are faced with a mature work, born of silence and an intense, solitary relationship with poetry and life. This collection is composed of ninety-five poems, written between 2024 and 2025.

Grazia Valente was born in Turin, where she lives.
She is the author of prose and poems, some of which have been awarded and published in magazines and anthologies. In 1999 she won the national Haiku Contest prize promoted by the Japanese Cultural Institute (Rome). One of her stories, winner of a R.A.I. competition, was broadcast on the radio and included in an anthology (Edizioni ERI). Some of her poems have been set to music by the Duo Pizzulli. (voice, piano and violin). The contemporary artist Chen Li has graphically interpreted some poems taken from various published and unpublished collections. She currently collaborates with Letizia Gariglio’s online periodical Parole in rete. Elena Re GENIUS LOCI

Elena Re LETTERA #1

LETTERA is a project hosted by Giulia Colussi inside her home in Venice. It all began when Giulia – a passionate collector – met Elena Re – an independent art critic and curator. Giulia seeks out talented young artists and, together with Elena, explores their work, sharing the choice of works, their display and the general desire to promote them. She then calls upon a specially chosen person to ‘enter’ the space with their own viewpoint and write her a letter, to describe what they encountered inside and leave a trace of their passing. The home, the artists, the works, and this letter written each year by a different figure from the world of art, science or culture, in the very truest sense of the word.
In this first issue, Elena herself leads the way, traversing a place dense with dreams and emotions. This project embraces a workshop dimension, that of an ever-evolving experience. A tale that unfolds, from one letter to the next.
