“Tu casa mi casa. La casa degli artisti” (Your Home, My Home. The Artists’ Home) is an exhibition project that recounts, through the works of nine artists, Davide Bramante’s encounter with Turin in the 1990s, when he arrived in the city to study at the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts. It features encounters with artists, art critics, gallery owners, and collectors. Among the numerous acquaintances and collaborations of those years, Bramante chose artists who were particularly important to him and with whom he shared many aspects of his private and professional life: Maura Banfo, Domenico Borrelli, Dario Colombo, Daniele Galliano, Paolo Grassino, Francesco Lauretta, Turi Rapisarda, and Alessia Zuccarello, with a tribute to Alfredo Romano. The exhibition opened in December 2025 at San Sebastiano Contemporary / Casa Bramante in Palazzolo Acreide (SR), and runs until June 30, 2026, at the Museo delle Genti d’Abruzzo in Pescara.

Domenico Borrelli sculpts bodies and figures, using classic techniques and materials (bronze, marble) and more freely, materials such as wood, plaster, resin and paraffin wax. He generates (or regenerates) imaginary figures, activating metamorphic energies, and trawling from the vast reservoir of the mythical imaginarium. He strives to create paradoxical and fanciful humanoid organisms. He works with plaster casts, that provide tangible and real traces of presences (of himself, of men, women and children). His installations generate specific aesthetic, environmental and existential tensions, creating a synergy between his characters and the surrounding space. He creates real sculptures of situations, each time transforming the context into an essential part of the artistic process. He delves into the supporting structure of the human anatomy. He analyzes, deconstructs and reworks bone joints, at times with hyperbolic effects. He does likewise with the supporting structure of the living space, with bricks transformed into white and ethereal elements in paraffin wax, which are then piled up, stacked or used to raise the walls of constructions that are barely begun or are cut short. He exposes, even to the point of transparency, the fragile anatomy of the primary architectural dimension, as he does with the plastic traces of the bodies with which he comes into contact. “… building, shaping, thoughts dissolving into bricks … the exertion accompanies the day and the night. There, where I find refuge, I inhabit my body and I am at peace … “. This is the fragmentary statement of intent of the artist, who has singular intimistic and existential values, together with a ease of tone that emphasizes the operational, phenomenological and space-time core of his work commitment.
