“During my long career as a Drawing and Art History teacher, taught at numerous high schools in Turin and its province, I collected the most curious errors I found in class assignments in a notebook, which I called black because of the color of the cover.
When I distributed the corrected papers, I read the blunders I found, maintaining my anonymity. The students enjoyed it and, in the process, gained a better understanding of the topics covered.
To facilitate the reader’s understanding, I highlighted the corrected version and drew some of the cited works.
The reason that prompted me to publish this collection, besides the students’ request, is to inspire a little laughter in those who wish to read it.” (From the introduction by Piera Perotti)
